Not bad - into the QF with a bye and a w/o!;)
Anyone know whether it was Agut or ferrer that was responsible for the walk over?

Agut is down to play singles today so guess it is probably Ferrer
Just found out about Jamie and Bruno getting a walkover.
Agut is down to play singles today so guess it is probably Ferrer I wasn't sure if it was just fatigue from B.A after his singles. It just says unspecified
Looking at the numbers I think Jamie & Bruno will become #1 in the ATP doubles race if they win tomorrow plus Jamie will return to World #1. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere so it may be wrong. Anyone confirm this?
I hope it's true, as they both deserve it.
Jamie now closing in on number 1 and race number 1 with Bruno with Frenchies not in Shanghai, need to win their QF

ahem.

@SallyDaisy10is (https://twitter.com/SallyDaisy10is) @jamie_murray (https://twitter.com/jamie_murray) I think they go 1 in the Race if they *reach* SFs.
Bruno ranked 1 too in that case, Jamie 2 if they make Final
Sorry, I'm confused - why would Bruno be 1 and Jamie 2 if they make the final? I thought Bruno was behind Jamie in the rankings.

Perhaps because the ATP doesn't just ADD points on, there's "counting" points to come off from last year in the 12-month rolling system they use for Rankings. So, a lot depends on what Bruno and Jamie have in their rankings counts and what's due to be deducted.
Steven is rarely wrong ...
Bruno confirms it in a blog (http://en.shanghairolexmasters.com/?p=2566) he's writing for the Shanghai Masters.
In fact Friday I’m playing for the No. 1 doubles ranking! It’s tough not to think about it because everywhere I go, I read something about it or hear the guys talk. But when I’m on court practicing, I’m really not thinking about it.

ahem.
Hadn't thought about Bruno overtaking Jamie, neither had points last year and Bruno is down as having 90 next best which if added takes him from 35 behind Jamie to 55 in front. Not sure if that is correct but 18 scores count and it appears Bruno can replace a 0 with a 90 but Jamie can't.

Rats! I had visions of Jamie and Andy being number 1 together but now that seems unlikely even if Andy makes it.

Think come January that Jamie and Bruno could have identical points but that will happen if they have the same 18 countable scores. Both will drop a number of different points between now and then.
Wishing Jamie and Bruno all the best of luck
J/B 2-5 in the first set.....COME ON GUYS!!!

A pressure match for no1 in race and for Bruno no1, is the pressure weighing them down? Cmon lads
J/B lost the first set 3-6............and as Roy said CMON LADS!!!!
Was out and missed the first set, but now have the match on the red button Jamie and Bruno lead 6-5 in the second set, but I fear we are in for a tb!!

Shame missed out on no1 spots
Jamie clearly not keen on Bruno becoming #1. ;) Lacklustre performance from J&B.
Well Jamie & Bruno lost the match 3-6, 6-7......
Oh dear - they lost - maybe lack of matches has a lot to do with it:sad:
ooops! what went wrong? how did they lose?

So disappointed for them as really thought they'd win this one easily.

As soon as I saw the draw I feared the worst. Kontinen is a star of the future and peers is a good player outside of finals
ooops! what went wrong? how did they lose?
seen a replay od the tb7, Peers was so on his game, and JB both lost their return of serve shots
Was following it. A real shame, but perhaps they are getting tired.
I'm sorry that Jaybru lost but good for Kontinen and Peers - are they likely to make the WTF?
A bye in the first round followed by a walkover probably didn't help.
